The danger below the surface

Managing the water quality inside your HVAC system by removing air and dirt is an effective way to extend the lifetime of critical system elements while optimizing system performance.

The benefits of good water/quality management include:
  • Reduce energy consumption
  • Prolonged system service life
  • Quiet operation
  • No downtime

Dirt deposit

Dirt deposits will travel and accumulate in pipes, pumps, radiators and boilers, causing obstructions, premature failures and reduced overall system efficiency.

Micro and macro bubbles

Accumulated gases in airlocks and micro and macro bubbles, together with invisible gases dissolved in the water, all threaten the efficient operation of the heating and cooling system and its lifespan.

Performance

Air locks and bubbles impair water flow and, as a result, heat transfer capacity, which reduces the system’s heating power performance and increases running costs.

Dirt in systems comes in many forms, both prior and after commissioning:

Causes prior to commissioning:

  • Existing dirt in pipes and components
  • Burr remains (particularly from plastic piping)
  • Welding and PTFE residues
  • Lubricants and sealants
  • Sand and dust
  • Residues from additives and inhibitiors
  • Foreign items

Causes after commissioning:

  • Corrosion and rust

Our Solutions

For Commercial Application

Air in systems comes in many forms each requiring its own solution:

During the water make up process, gases in the water, which are lighter, are transported through the system and are later released to the surface. Once commissioned, if the overall system pressure is too low, air will be drawn from the outside on a continuous basis.

Removing dissolved gasses is essential for HVAC system health

Gas can cause various problems in heating and cooling systems:

  • Corrosion
  • Deposits from corroded products
  • Noise
  • Circulation problems
  • Reduction in heating performance
